PRESENTER: The Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana
EVENT: WAMMfest VI - Love Grows Here
Featuring the Sensory Tinge, the Mojo Navigators, Jason Bond and the
Committee, and the Fabulous Miss Wendy!
DAY AND TIME: Saturday, September 26, 2009, 12p.m. to 5p.m.
LOCATION: Duck Island, San Lorenzo Park, Santa Cruz
ADMISSION: FREE with a suggested donation ($4.20). All donations will
benefit the Wo/Men’s Alliance for Medical Marijuana (WAMM), whose members
are critically and terminally ill patients.
PROGRAM: Again this year we celebrate our community for the courage to
honor and to protect seriously ill patients. WAMMfest is our annual
festival organized to thank our community and public officials for all the
support and encouragement over the years, especially since the DEA raid of
our collective garden and arrest of Valerie and Mike Corral in 2002! We
take this opportunity to create safe space for patients and to respond to
aggressive antics with a direction of hope and promise of civil liberty.
WAMMfest will feature amazing performances from the Sensory Tinge, the
Mojo Navigators, and Jason Bond and the Committee. Our headliner this
year is The Fabulous Miss Wendy and our emcee is Santa Cruz radio legend
“Sleepy” John Sandidge. There will also be an appearances by comedian
Ngaio Bealum and many more guests.

WAMMfest is looking for volunteers to assist throughout the day as well;
there are many ways to help out!
The Wo/Men's Alliance for Medical Marijuana is a collective of patients
and caregivers, providing hope, building community, and offering medical
marijuana at no cost to seriously ill patients with a doctor's
recommendation. We provide safe access to a safe, organic supply of
medical marijuana for the treatment of terminal and chronic illness, to relieve suffering.
Come out and enjoy a beautiful afternoon in Santa Cruz with your favorite
medical marijuana organization!
