Coming from the Los Angeles area, I've seen quite a few dispensaries of all calibers, and Harborside is of the highest. Their selection is always fantastic, and the top shelf often contains the most gorgeous buds you'll see anywhere. Their selection of edibles is solid, as is their menu of concentrates. No matter what I get when I go, I'm always happy when I leave.

I love the Harborside vibe. Always a fantastic selection of quality meds in a very clean and professional setting. Budtenders have always been knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I've been to the SJ and Oakland facilities and they're both the same.

I go to dispensaries for medical reasons. I don't visit rite-aid expecting them to give me free things, so obviously I don't expect the same from Harborside either. So many people expect a gift, like some processed crappy old junk in a prerolled that won't get you high is the customary "thank you" from clubs. I'm actually happy so many of these people are going to smaller clubs, because as soon as those clubs are shut down because they don't pay taxes, or sell meds with aspergillus (yes thats the mold you can't see and have to test for, it makes your lungs bleed and shortens your breath). I honestly hope all these haters hit up clubs and get this good "cheaper" stuff. I've seen it happen so many times that someone just like you spouts off about how you know so much and how you expect a free J and with every fiber of my being I want to yell at you and say "you are at a medical facility, not trying to score some ganja", but I don't, and the angels behind the counter don't either. They shrug it of, f and despite being crapped all over, they still treat the next person in line with respect. This is why I like harborside. They have cheap budlet eighths and cheap hashes, and they know their stuff (and have a cheat sheet they use when they don't). I'm glad the annoying people don't like this club because honestly it's you people who cause the lines for the rest of us.

Harborside isn't the "walmart" of buds, they simply set the standard. Why is it so wrong to offer free holistic care, free grams to those who can't afford it, and medicine that has been tested? What else do you want from them?

In conclusion, if you are going to another club, go to it and leave the rest of us alone so we can keep getting our quality meds.

No compassion, high prices, who the hell would by an eighth for sixty five dollars?
You are better off going to a smaller club where they appreciate your business and will spend time talking to you about what meds are right for you.

In closing, Harborside sucks.

I've been coming here for quite a while now, along with many other collectives in the South Bay. I really like Harborside's selection. Like all collectives, they have their good days and bad days. On some days, you might get there at the perfect time, no line, good selection, and good deals! Like many who have posted here, there are $30 budlets which are a steal. The last budlets I got were the Mango OG budlets and cole's train budlets which are really good! Many days, you might be out of luck getting the deals, however this is understandable. Harborside has a large collective, as reflected by their long lines at times (30% of the time I go there are lines, most of the time there's barely any).

The staff are really friendly, and have alot of experience in their own right. Everytime I go in, they will tell me all of the good deals that are going on. I love their Hash selection. They usually have a really large variety of kiefs, hashes, bubble hashes, full melts, super melts, honey oils, honey buds, and butene glasses. For any hash connoisseurs, this is the place to go!

They also recently stocked up on a wide variety of lotions, topicals, and soaps for any of those with localized pain or arthritis. They stock now cannabis infused shea butter and shea soaps!

Harborside San Jose is getting much better every week I visit. Their stock heavily depends on patients like ourselves to bring in surplus quality medicine. They have assured me, it will only be getting better! This is understandable as they are only 4 months old.

I forsee it only to get better the next time I visit. The best part of harborside is that you can check their newly stock items as they update daily! If you see a deal, go there quick! It will probably sell out fast!

I really enjoy coming to this collective. Their atmosphere is really great for new patients. They greeted me at the door. All of the staff are really friendly. I will talk about a few points that they are awesome in

-Medicine

Their selection is probably one of the best I've seen in the Bay Area. They have midgrades for $45, high grades for $50-$55, and top shelves which are $60. Their Mango OG is one of my favorites and comes back every now and then. I also picked up a $15 Blue Dream Bubble Hash which is a great price!

- Prices

Their prices are reasonable and very easy to work with. Occasionally they have $30/eighth budlets and $40 Mega Mixes which are super for those looking for cheaper variety.

- Location

Their location is probably one of the best locations, as it is away from schools, residences, and community groups. It is easily accessible from the 680, 880, and the 101. It is a little hard to find, just look for the signs! Otherwise, great location!

- Clones

They offer a 99 clone per day clone limit! With usually 5-6 strains a day! You can check their twitter for an updated clone list, so this is very convenient if your looking for a specific strain!

- Holistic Services

They offer free acupuncture and free chiropractics! Can't go wrong with that!

- Security

Their security is on point and makes me feel safe coming into this place. They are there to make us feel secure.

I love Harborside, and definitely will be returning!

Was expecting the best from the harbor, as I used to go to the Oakland location. However, the SJ location seems like it's on the right track. I was disappointed they didn't have the thc percentages up on most buds, because that's one of the main reasons I love to go here. They could be lagging. Also, it seems like they don't care about the patients. Big business gives nothing back except a little membership card for each time I come back?? No first time freebies? But, all in all the top shelfs are bomb but pricey, same pretty much anywhere else. I swooped an 1/8 of blue cheese. It had a great smell but the taste is...ehh. For 55 dollar 1/8 I expected a little better. Good security out front, friendly staff. 4 stars, could be 5 if they were more about the patient.

This place is by far one of my favorite places to go to. Not only do they offer their menu daily, they also make sure I get the medicine I need without being rushed. I'll start off with my reasoning of my 5 stars.

Bud Quality

Harborside Health Center offers 4 different grades of 4 different prices. I came in the other day to find $30 Cole's Train Budlets, which to my surprise was one of the best medicines I have had! I was lucky enough to get there because the staff had told me it would be gone the next day. They offer budlets for $30 which was of superb quality! They consider these budlets low grade but it is merely the high grade which has smaller buds, not bad at all! Their mid grade selection usually consists of 3-4 strains. God's Gift was recommended by one of the associates working there. It ranked at 20% THC! They have everything tested by an analytical laboratory so I feel safe I'm buying mold/pesticide free medicine, especially for my asthma. If I smoke anything with molds or any other contaminants, I will instantly have an asthma attack, which I have suffered from, from other cannabis collectives in the past. There is generally a huge variety of high grades, mostly indica and sativa dominant hybrids. They are lacking in their pure sativas and pure indicas sometimes, but I find that most collectives lack these as well. Their top shelves I find are amazing, but you gotta come at the right time it seems. They have such a huge client base, that as soon as the best stuff comes out, it's gone in a day or 2. Be sure to keep a look out for Silver Kush, Royal Afqueen, The White, and Headband in their top shelf. They showed me this binder with all their previous batches in it with THC percentages. I saw their percentages consistently getting better! Also, be sure to snag their Mango OG which comes out consistently, but sells out quick!

Atmosphere

This place has one of the best atmospheres I've been to. As soon as I step in the door, I am greeted by all the staff and they give me a tour of the place. There are buddha statues, hemp carpet, and this blue wall which is suppose to be stimulating for the brain. They always play good mellow music while we wait. The other patients are also very friendly, it's like everyone here is a family. The associates remember my name everytime I come in, unlike some other places who pass me off as another patient. You can't beat their atmosphere.

Staff

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I first came to this place, they gave me a superb tour of the display case and answered all of my questions. The only time I notice them rushing a bit is when there is a really long line. This is understandable as there are other patients who need medicine just as much as I, and I happily oblige to speed my purchase up a bit. They assured me that they will be expanding soon, to meet the growing demand, so the lines won't be so bad.

Convenience

I don't know about other reviewers here, but I quite frankly love this location. Understanding what's been going on in Los Angeles and other places, it is necessary that this place is out of the way of residences, schools, and any other community oriented area. I love how convenient it is from the 680 and 880. It is hidden in an industrial park, but that's better than being located right across from some family homes, schools, apartment, complexes, or right in the middle of downtown like I have seen. I would rather buy my medicine discreetly which this place has to offer.

As for asking what they have, asking on the phone is not the best way to get information, due to legal implications, but looking on their twitter definitely helps. As for prices, the best way to find out their prices if not stated on their twitter would be to go in and ask. Once is all it takes.

Price

Their prices range from $30/eighth to $60/eighth depending on their quality and/or price they get it for. They also offer free 1.5g baggies for low income people like myself. Although I've been hearing from alot of people their price is too high, this place is actually one of the most affordable. With the excess money they receive, they offer free acupuncture and free chiropractics to any patient in need. I believe these community based services are vital for many people like myself who also suffers from a lower back injury from a recent car accident.

Overall

This place is great, and I couldn't think of a better model cannabis collective. Their premise is based on compassion for their patients. One of my buddies in a state without Medical Marijuana laws found himself in a dire situation being diagnosed with cancer. Harborside San Jose worked with him to acquire his temporary CA ID card so that he could get the medicine he needs. If this isn't compassion, I don't know what is.

Harborside, Thank You!

The best way to describe this dispensary: faceless! They're all about get in, get your meds and get out! The waiting line is about 10 feet from the counter so you can't even browse over the medicine to get a better idea and thus speeding up the process because at one point, it literally felt like I was at the DMV: slow moving line with inept bud tenders who couldn't care less how far you've came and if you aren't purchasing bulk amounts they act as if you're wasting their time.

The whole reason I came here was for the THC % listed on the medicine, yet more than half the strains had a "% Pending" instead of an actual percentage! I asked for the medicine with the highest THC % and got 2 different answers from the tenders! I went with the OG Mango (18.9 % but yet on their website it shows it at 19.7%). It was heavy and tasted great but not worth it for the price. I've already found a couple other places with friendlier staff and one that weighs the medicine in front of you, no pre packaged stuff!

No Compassion and No Care!

I am very disappointed with Harborside San Jose. They seem to be posers of the worst kind, supposedly compassionate to patients and their needs but in fact it's all about the money. Their patient care is non-existent and the same goes for their compassion. They need to place some adult supervision at these places - but the money comes in so easily I guess they just don't care. I expected more from Harborside because of their website which talked the talk, but unfortunately they can not walk the walk. I lived for years in Amsterdam and they don't make big claims, but they are extremely friendly and helpful - maybe it's to do with the Dutch mentality.

My first few visits were good, mainly because of one of the budtenders who was very knowledgeable and cool and all I needed was to buy my medicine. But as soon as a little more was expected from them, they failed totally and their customer service is worse than any bank or corporation - which it seems they want to emulate.

In the last few weeks I wrote them twice asking a question about the collective and also about some information I needed as a patient and I never received a response, until I wrote to the Oakland collective which answered my questions. So two weeks ago I went to Oakland and was served by a budtender who had the social skills of a mutant and could not answer any of my questions in an intelligent manner, big disappointment for someone needing answers to find the right medication.

I follow their tweets which list all the new varieties, edibles, concentrates and their prices. They also list clones but don't include a price. So I called today to find out the price of clones and spoke to a woman who would not answer my questions and did not seem interested in doing so. If she can't give the info on the phone, ask for my email address and send the info, it'll take two seconds or even better offer to add the price of clones (as they do with the medicine) to the tweets, I am sure I am not the only one who wants to know the price. I am a patient, check it out on your computer as a bank would do if I called about something. But she expected me to get in my car and drive twenty minutes to see if I like their clone pricing or not. What finally did it for me was when I called back ten minutes later to say I want to cancel my membership and have my records pulled and was asking about that when she hung up one me.

Obviously despite the hyperbole and self praise on their website - it's basically come in, put your money down and leave. Just like the corner drug dealer, but here they do it under the guise of compassion and caring for patients. There is so much money involved in this industry that I think there needs to be very careful state, county or city supervision to make sure that people really are treated like patients and at a minimum receive the same respect and care as a corner Walgreens pharmacy - which is not much. Harborside San Jose does not treat you as a patient and in fact does not even treat you like a consumer - you'll get better customer phone service calling Best Buy.

It seems like a lot of people, patients and collective owners forget the fact that prop 215 and sb 420 were enacted to provide medicine to people and not to create new business opportunities although all of this seems to be lost as cities see the huge revenues they can collect from taxation. The dispensaries are here to serve the patients and not the other way round. I don't think it will be too far in the future that patients will organize and demand that the collectives really provide compassionate care. Don't forget the bill was passed for us and not for people to disrespect us and make money of our backs.

if the club has only been open 2 months, how can people speak to the quality of flowers the clones produce (thats not enough time to even let them flower). I went to harborside and it was kick ass. People were friendly. I was informed that I had 30 minutes at the counter so the being rushed part was not true also. They had three rows of buds and about 50 strains total, so their selection was awesome.

They informed me that the lab they use to test is called Steep Hill, and most everything had been tested. The security did come to my car, carrying the clones I'd just purchased because they were polite.

I'm very confused as to why this club was only given one star by some people but as far as I am concerned it is the best dispensary in northern california.

p.s. Ask them about something; they know alot behind the counter!

If you like indica this is your place. I have been there 4 times and not bought anything. They never had even ONE sativa strain, smoke or concentrate. They want to talk you into their hybrids.
They don't offer anything complementary even though it's clear they are making plenty of money.
Instead they offer a massage, which if you don't have time or didn't go there for that, what you are doing is paying for someone else's massage. I would rather have the extra money as cheaper product and have it be fair to everyone.
They are not going to listen to the reviews apparently. But they do say have a nice day sooo sweetly.

This club is great, it has brought the customer service from the Oakland Harborside to San Jose, but the place is about 1/3 of the size from the Oakland one. This club has good quality if you know how to distinguish the good stuff (I try to make my own judgement instead of the budtender recommendations). The only downfall here are the prices. The prices are high, plus there is tax. This is a huge turn off, which is why I will look for another club in San Jose. There are so many clubs that prices have to be competitive, and I am sure I will find one.

I’d have to say Harborside Health Center is way overrated. When you walk into this place they make you out to feel like a criminal with their metal detectors and 3 security guards. You must notify security to use the restroom? What’s up with that? Did I just commit a crime? I mean the atmosphere is very professional and all, but it’s just too much. When their staff gives you a tour of their facility they speak so fast as if they want to get it over with already. They have ok buds and yes they test their THC content but the prices are outrageous. With so many nice clubs now in San Jose popping up left and right, why would you want to over pay for the same meds you can get somewhere else at a lower price?

I felt overwhelmed by the gentlemen who was giving me the tour. For those who seek a discreet dispensary, this is not the place to go. This club announces how they are so compassionate yet they have a time limit of how long you can be at the sales counter? The only thing they are compassionate about is their high prices and getting you in and out as soon as possible.

Their clone selection is getting better every time I go, and the lab results are confirming this is the place for the best medication in the south bay!

This last visit I picked up some True Blueberry crossed with O.G. that tested at 7% CBD! High prices and little selection, most of which is not good quality. They have really gone down hill. The clones are never what they are labeled as. I have gotten many bogus strains that don't produce anything worth smoking. If it says they have some great famous strain, don't believe it's the real deal.
Also, the security was very unwelcoming when I walked up. They started walking up to me as I was stepping out of my car. They didn't have uniforms on and they were asking if I had any weapons on me. WTF is that!?

Now I can spend the money I save on gas on some more buds or a couple clones. When I visited the new club I was pleased to see what basically looked like a copy of the Oakland Harborside.

Tons of great clones, and the best quality strains in the business. Not to mention they are the only place I can seem to find the HLT brownies (strongest edible I've tried)
