Santa Cruz Medical Marijuana Patient Reviews

I have worked with Greenway as a vendor almost every week for over 3 years. I have watched thousands of customers going through security and purchasing their medicine. I have never seen any of the staff being rude or unfriendly to even the most obnoxious customers. They are alwasy friendly, helpful, and well informed. There selection is better then I have seen at any of the dozens of clubs I have visited in the bay area. They have lots of Keifs, hashes, edibles, and usually about 30 + kinds of indoor and outdoor ranging from $30 to $60 including the 9% county sales tax. I have been to lots of clubs in the bay area, and while some look very professional, the staffs are often strung out, or don't know what they are talking about. From a vendor prospective, these guys have always treated me very well. While they do take a while to pay sometimes, I have never had them waste my time, cheat me, or lie to me about pay outs. The bottom line is, if you want a club with 30 kinds on the shelf, and you want to put large quantities of your product on consignment, it's going to take a while for them to dispense it all. If you'e in a hurry I suggest you take it somewhere else. While I have no particular loyalty to this club, of all I have been to, it's my favorite to do business with and I see lots of very happy customers. |

I cannot believe how down hill this club has GONE. The medicine is less weight than it says. It is very dry and really doesn't get you pain free.On the pre rolleds they use to have twice as much medicine in them now they are less than half the size they were. It is totally a waste to buy as you are being ripped off. I would have rather they left the prerolleds the way they were and maybe raised the price a bit, but now its a total rip off. I will give them a chance to make it right otherwise me and my money and will be driving back to Berkeley for my medicine. Word of mouth can really bite you on the butt. Please fix the problems before you go under as you are very nice people and I use to really enjoy coming in and visiting. Thanks |

I would never leave meds on consignment. It's not that I don't trust them, it's just bad business. So I have never even walked in the store although I have spoken to them on the phone. They didn't give me a good feeling. |

Consignment is, “as advised by ASA”, the only legal way to dispense medicine in a collective. If you’re selling it to a collective you are making a transaction for more than is allowed by state law. Many clubs are already doing it this way and many more are following suit. It’s even in many ordinances that consignment is the only way it can be done. |

This is just a follow up. I do want to let everyone know how Greenway operates. First off, I have been a vendor in the Bay Area since 1996. I have done everything from managing clubs to being a co-owner of one. I thought that I had seen it all, but it is clear to me now that this place not only sells inferior product, but they also are very unprofessional and downright despicable! When I came to vend my product, I noticed an old man (maybe in his sixties) come in and slam the product that he had just purchased on the counter, stating that it was, and I quote"toxic and horrible". I should have taken that as a hint. I had a meeting with the head buyer and he and others went through each elbow checking it carefully, then saying, "This is quality stuff". "We will take it all on consignment". I then left and after 3 months they call me back to say that they had a payment for me and to come pick it up. |

This is a vendor that brought the collective powder mold on more than one occasion. He has been refused service and is disgruntled. He was contacted to return and retrieve his medicine, but doesn’t live in the state all the time. As a collective, we cannot do business this way. When he became irate, he was asked to no longer return to the collective. So, instead of being professional and speaking to management to resolve his complaint, he chooses to write false reviews and whine about the collective here. Please come in and test Greenway for yourself. Make up your own mind. |

Too bad they ruin all their nice pot by packaging it in those plastic containers. It is the reason people complain about the quality in my opinion. It reduces everything they have to the same low grade stuff by drawing all the cannabinoids in to the plastic, in a surprisingly short time. They refuse to change if you mention it. It makes me sick to see someone ruin all that nice stuff that way, but obviously they have not noticed the difference in their own medication. |

I'm sorry. Your review is not scientifically accurate. If you do a little research, Cannabinoids physically cannot penetrate scientific plastic. The containers that Greenway uses are air tight and thus preserving the freshness of the medicines better than the plastic. They're cheaper and we have passed that savings on to the patients 10 fold, by reducing the prices by $5 per 1/8th. |

Greenway has reduced their prices starting this week. Clones are coming soon, and we should be open on Sundays very soon, too. Everything is being Lab tested. Santa Cruz has the strictest ordinance in the state. We apologize if you have to get wanded with a metal detector, and no phones can be used on the property, but that’s the law for Santa Cruz. Have a “current” DL or ID, that’s to abide by the Attorney General guidelines. As for vendors, we do our best, but sometimes things get missed. |

I really don't understand the hate. Today was my first time in the club and I felt like I was a celebrity just walking in. The security was so nice and helpful, they made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Additionaly, the girl behind the counter helped me decide what strains would be best for me based on my specific needs. Yes it is pricey, but they have a great selection. Honestly, the shop was really nice and the staff were great! |

As the person stated below, I am also a customer and a vendor. I have been waiting well over three months for the rest of my payments. This is considerably longer than I was quoted. I have placed many calls to not only the head buyer but also the head of security and the owner. I used to be treated with respect here, but lately see that they seem to be not too interested in talking with me. I bring very good organics to the club and put it on consignment. I have noticed that it has been gone for quite a while and I still have not been paid? I am sorry, it's just not the same. There is kind of a bad taste in my mouth on this one. |

As for vendors, we do our best, but sometimes things get missed. You called me and were called back within minutes. But we still have some of your medicine and you’re more than welcome to come get it back. This is consignment; if it’s not sold you can’t be paid. Once again, that’s the law. If anyone has a bad experience come see me, Just ask for Scott |

This place gets zero stars. Santa Cruz grows some great cannabis... Greenway is not the place to get it. I bought an overpriced gram of C4 (a favorite strain of mine) while waiting as a vendor. Poor quality medicine, and it seemed old, commercial and bland. |

I went there and have to say "Way over priced"! |

Incredibly rude security guy made the experience slightly less fun than getting a cavity search when entering prison. The medicine is too expensive. |

I used to really like this place, but that was before there were quality clubs in the San Jose area. They have discontinued their discount for disabled patients. The entire staff was grumpy last time I went there. Selection was greatly reduced. I won't bother to make the trip over the hill for my medication anymore. |

This place is awesome. The people there are helpful, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Usually pretty funny people, too. I went in there and they were very welcoming and unassuming. Their stuff is great, and they have a lot of options. They have stuff for people with a budget, too. That being said, it is the first walk-in dispensary I've been to and I haven't been a card-holder for very long. |

Can I give no stars? This place is terrible. I'd never recommend it. I've been to lots and lots of clubs and this place has the harshest meds and I happen to know for a fact that they knowingly buy moldy medicine and trim it up and sell to public. I heard this direct from their product manger. I think their edibles are ok but the medicine is awful, toxic, and tastes like chemicals. Green way does have stress if your looking for it. Avoid Greenway, their medicine is trash. They charge taxes as well and they treat you like a terror suspect at an air port, not very friendly. I can't stress how toxic their medicine is. It can make your lungs quite ill, I know from experience. |

Have shopped here almost 2.5 years. Coco capsules that I rely upon for pain/sleep are inconsistent in strength. Just overpaid $65 for #30 count and find that the THC did not make its way into the coconut oil. Not only was I overcharged, there is so little THC in these expensive capsules that they have no effect. Took 2 on an empty stomach and waited 3 hours = no effect. Repeated next night and waited 4 hours = no effect = $65 bucks for nothing. I have cancer and dislike Ambien and other sleep meds due to side effects etc. |

Dang, where can I even start. Well first off I knew before I even went to this shop that they were sketchy because a guy I used to play ball with is a vendor who donated 335 pre-rolled joints (made from his small budlettes and trim) to this club in order to provide severely sick and low-income patients with "free medicine". They thanked him and agreed. He walks in a week or so later to find them on sale for $10 a piece. He asked to speak with the manager about this and after a small argument was told that their "buisness decisions" were none of his business and was asked to leave. |

The security guards at Greenway are always friendly and efficient. Parking is always easy and there is little waiting. However, I am a bit disappointed in the bud tenders. I am on social security disability and cannabis therapy is new to me, and coupled with my natural shyness, it is really embarrassing to purchase product. I am ill and no longer pretty, and I have a hard time getting waited on by the bud tenders. The capsules that I rely on for sleep and pain relief come in 15 or 30 count. The small bottle is significantly more expensive and the bud tender would not combine two small bottles to save me some dollars, nor would he offer me a discount due to my social security disability. I'm not purchasing to "get high" so I am a tad saddened and humiliated by the experience. Maybe next time will be better. |

This is a very professional, safe, and caring company. They have a wonderful selection and a very informative staff. The prices are high, but the quality is great! |

I have been a Medical Marijuana Patient for eight years. I have been to dispensories up and down the State of California - and have had the most wonderful experiences - but this place "Greenway" should be put out of business. What a huge rip off. |

The security is tight but it's justified in my opinion to safeguard the business, it's staff and customers. I have no problem with bringing someone in to wait in the lobby for me rather than in the car. I have been going there for more than a year and have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. They know the kind of medication I prefer and have made great recommendations. Important to note that anyone on medical disability can get a discount. Every little bit helps when you're income has been cut due to illness. I'm recovering from stage 3 cancer. Would highly recommend Greenway based on their products and their staff. |

Hello. |

I was very surprised at the prices for an 1/8, $60.00, for the good meds. Those are San Francisco prices. I can get better for $45.00 in Oakland. They also frisked me with a metal detector, and this is santa cruz, not gangster town. The parking absolutly sucked. I was told that the person in the car with me either had to come inside or park elsewhere. They also wanted to see what was inside my backpak, and kept my cell phone and camera at the front. I do not think I would go back. |

Way overpriced. Eighths go up to 65$. The bud is quality for the high priced eighths. I don't recommend buying anything other then their bud if you're forced to go here. Their pre rolls are clearly trim and shake. Don't buy them. I haven't had a lot of their edibles, but I haven't gotten high off any of the ones I bought. My only experience with their concentrates is their kali mist kief. It sucked and it was the closest thing to a sativa that isn't a hybrid on their menu. Remember, with these guys the more expensive the more quality. |

It is my belief that GCR's pricing is closely priced to the "black market" trends because they want to keep Medical Marijuana legal. |

Over priced Prop 215 was originated to help the sick and needy not the fat and greedy. I do not know to many sick people that can afford there crazy prices. This is a club for metro sexual yuppies that can afford an eight insane. Beware |

Fun and interesting. Try to avoid going on Saturday it's packed with a wait. Nice selection of meds during the grow season but kind of weak the last couple of times there. Was disappointed. The one real negative is how much they charge. Bring tons of money because nothing is cheap here. Staff is good. |

As the other reviewer said, the guard is nice but the other people there can leave something to be desired.. I find it hard to get even basic information out of them about whether a strain is indica or sativa. I realize that its listed on the board but sometimes there are a lot of people in there and its easier to just ask the person directly. Their hash is terrible and not worth the money. The strains are good but definitely seem overpriced, I am going to keep looking for another club in the area. |

I was suprised at easy it was to find, there is a sign on the street that is very visable. The man at the front counter asked me for me card as soon as I walked in, of course. The entire process took about 5 minutes, which I was happy about, and after that you get to enter "The Room." They had a very nice selection including Maui Waui, Snowcap, a great selection of Diesels and Kush's and many more. I was suprised at how many choices for edibles they had as well. They had really decent prices dropping down to $35 an eighth for the lowest quality meds and $6 being the lowest priced edible brownie. Great prices on Kief too, $11 being the lowest and $43 being the highest. I definitley recommend it for anyone in the area looking for low prices with pretty good quality. |

The guard was nice, but for the rest, like my momma taught me, if ya don't have something nice to say...you get the point. I will never return! |

Visited for the first time today and I was pretty impressed with the selection of meds. Lots of strains, lots of hash and keif, and a huge selection of edibles and other novelty items. Only drawback: expensive! They say they absorb the tax, but it kinda didn't seem like it. The "Budtenders" are very nice and knowledgeable and I got a lot of info while there for only 15 minutes! I will go here again to purchase my meds, but not for everyday smoke. |

My first visit to Greenway was a very pleasant experience. I found it to be a very clean and safe envornment. The staff was very polite and helpful. Inside I found a very large and variable selection of Cannabis items. I have been back several times since my initial visit and will not go anywhere else. I highly reccomend Greenway to anyone. Aloha |

I was going to this place and when I came out this place a SUV with two guys and a blond girl who knock me over and her took my picture she called me "A drug addict and said God will punish you." I found out that she put my picture onto the internet saying I was a drug addict. My work found out and had me drug tested and I failed and because of that I was fired. |

First off, I am a new marijuana patient, not a first time smoker. Going into Greenway, the guard and receptionist dude were friendly. I signed a form, they called my name. Then I walked into a candy store full of buds. The help is awesome. Great selection and great prices. The edibles rock! I even got a free sample of bud for being a first time visitor! |

I went to this place and even though I have all the legal papper work he was very rude and turned me away. When this other couple walked and said that the same thing happened to to there brother the man told both of us to leave. The couple suggested another collective, and comfrimed what I knew was right and true, that I had the right papper work. |
