I have worked with Greenway as a vendor almost every week for over 3 years. I have watched thousands of customers going through security and purchasing their medicine. I have never seen any of the staff being rude or unfriendly to even the most obnoxious customers. They are alwasy friendly, helpful, and well informed. There selection is better then I have seen at any of the dozens of clubs I have visited in the bay area. They have lots of Keifs, hashes, edibles, and usually about 30 + kinds of indoor and outdoor ranging from $30 to $60 including the 9% county sales tax. I have been to lots of clubs in the bay area, and while some look very professional, the staffs are often strung out, or don't know what they are talking about. From a vendor prospective, these guys have always treated me very well. While they do take a while to pay sometimes, I have never had them waste my time, cheat me, or lie to me about pay outs. The bottom line is, if you want a club with 30 kinds on the shelf, and you want to put large quantities of your product on consignment, it's going to take a while for them to dispense it all. If you'e in a hurry I suggest you take it somewhere else. While I have no particular loyalty to this club, of all I have been to, it's my favorite to do business with and I see lots of very happy customers.

I cannot believe how down hill this club has GONE. The medicine is less weight than it says. It is very dry and really doesn't get you pain free.On the pre rolleds they use to have twice as much medicine in them now they are less than half the size they were. It is totally a waste to buy as you are being ripped off. I would have rather they left the prerolleds the way they were and maybe raised the price a bit, but now its a total rip off. I will give them a chance to make it right otherwise me and my money and will be driving back to Berkeley for my medicine. Word of mouth can really bite you on the butt. Please fix the problems before you go under as you are very nice people and I use to really enjoy coming in and visiting. Thanks

Consignment is, “as advised by ASA”, the only legal way to dispense medicine in a collective. If you’re selling it to a collective you are making a transaction for more than is allowed by state law. Many clubs are already doing it this way and many more are following suit. It’s even in many ordinances that consignment is the only way it can be done.

If anyone has a question about greenway or if you have had a problem here, come in and let me know. I’m right inside the door to the left. Ask for Scott. We do our best and sometimes (as with every business) something goes wrong. We do this for the patients. I will do anything I can to help you, but you have to let me know there’s a problem.

This is just a follow up. I do want to let everyone know how Greenway operates. First off, I have been a vendor in the Bay Area since 1996. I have done everything from managing clubs to being a co-owner of one. I thought that I had seen it all, but it is clear to me now that this place not only sells inferior product, but they also are very unprofessional and downright despicable! When I came to vend my product, I noticed an old man (maybe in his sixties) come in and slam the product that he had just purchased on the counter, stating that it was, and I quote"toxic and horrible". I should have taken that as a hint. I had a meeting with the head buyer and he and others went through each elbow checking it carefully, then saying, "This is quality stuff". "We will take it all on consignment". I then left and after 3 months they call me back to say that they had a payment for me and to come pick it up.

I went ahead and drove down and when we got there, I found out that they had lied to me on the phone and that they were not planning on paying me what they owed me at all. What they did was lie right to my face again by stating that what I gave them had Powder mildew. This is after they went through it thoroughly, bought it, and sat on it for three months. I have never, ever had that complaint in over 20 years of growing. So when I get there to pick up this payment which I have been waiting for, they give me back the remainder of what they said was mine and told me that it was afflicted. If it was so bad then why did they jump at the chance to buy it? I have never been treated so poorly in 20 years.I don't know what happened to this place, but I can tell you that these people have no clue what they are doing! They buy low and sell high, they take donations and turn around and sell them. They take samples of my concentrate that's meant for the customers to try and keep it for themselves.

Prop 215 is meant for people who are sick to get the medication that they need. This place is just like most other dispensaries in that they are out to make money off the backs of those who are trying to help (growers) or the people who are sick (patients). Bottom line, I would strongly advise anyone who is thinking about going to Greenway to get their meds to go somewhere else! When you enter you are treated like a felon and for that you get to pay the most exorbitant prices in the state for some of the lowest grade meds! They claim that it's the law that we must give up our cell at the front desk, but anyone who has been to any other club knows this to be false. Take a look at this comment board.. For every one good comment, there are 10 negative ones. Coincidence, I think not! I'm even betting that the good comments that are there are posted by people who are affiliated with the place, so don't be fooled. In summation, this place sets a bad example! I strongly recommend to go anywhere else but there! If I could give no stars I would. This place is an abomination filled with a bunch of money grubbing people who don't give a flip about anyone or anything but themselves! Thank you for listening and thank god for sites like this so that people can garner the truth before going to a place like this!

This is a vendor that brought the collective powder mold on more than one occasion. He has been refused service and is disgruntled. He was contacted to return and retrieve his medicine, but doesn’t live in the state all the time. As a collective, we cannot do business this way. When he became irate, he was asked to no longer return to the collective. So, instead of being professional and speaking to management to resolve his complaint, he chooses to write false reviews and whine about the collective here. Please come in and test Greenway for yourself. Make up your own mind.

Too bad they ruin all their nice pot by packaging it in those plastic containers. It is the reason people complain about the quality in my opinion. It reduces everything they have to the same low grade stuff by drawing all the cannabinoids in to the plastic, in a surprisingly short time. They refuse to change if you mention it. It makes me sick to see someone ruin all that nice stuff that way, but obviously they have not noticed the difference in their own medication.

It can't be the price or availability of glass containers, after all, peanut butter and things like baby food that are fairly cheap come in glass containers that are probably easy to find. They should be able to afford a non destructive way of packaging for the amount they charge there.

They are very nice people but it doesn't make up for poor quality, especially when it came in better. Phooey on the testing. Change the package.

I'm sorry. Your review is not scientifically accurate. If you do a little research, Cannabinoids physically cannot penetrate scientific plastic. The containers that Greenway uses are air tight and thus preserving the freshness of the medicines better than the plastic. They're cheaper and we have passed that savings on to the patients 10 fold, by reducing the prices by $5 per 1/8th.

Greenway has reduced their prices starting this week. Clones are coming soon, and we should be open on Sundays very soon, too. Everything is being Lab tested. Santa Cruz has the strictest ordinance in the state. We apologize if you have to get wanded with a metal detector, and no phones can be used on the property, but that’s the law for Santa Cruz. Have a “current” DL or ID, that’s to abide by the Attorney General guidelines. As for vendors, we do our best, but sometimes things get missed.

I really don't understand the hate. Today was my first time in the club and I felt like I was a celebrity just walking in. The security was so nice and helpful, they made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Additionaly, the girl behind the counter helped me decide what strains would be best for me based on my specific needs. Yes it is pricey, but they have a great selection. Honestly, the shop was really nice and the staff were great!

I have placed many calls to not only the head buyer but also the head of security and the owner. I used to be treated with respect here, but lately see that they seem to be not too interested in talking with me. I bring very good organics to the club and put it on consignment. This place gets zero stars. Santa Cruz grows some great cannabis... Greenway is not the place to get it. I bought an overpriced gram of C4 (a favorite strain of mine) while waiting as a vendor. Poor quality medicine, and it seemed old, commercial and bland.

If you are a vendor, never sell to this place!! It took a month beyond my original paydate to get all my money, and when my final date came, the purchaser I had worked with the entire time didn't have the guts to show up! I was just going to give him a piece of my mind but since I couldn't I'm posing it here. Completely unprofessional!

I will say the budtenders are nice people, but that is the only thing this place has going for them. As mentioned before the security is a bunch of rude goons. Many of their strains seem to be made up and the top shelf selections are piss poor! I mean paying for a gram of boring Salmon Creek Big Bud is a travesty. To Greenway staff... get it together or get out of town!!!

I've been to lots and lots of clubs and this place has the harshest meds and I happen to know for a fact that they knowingly buy moldy medicine and trim it up and sell to public. I heard this direct from their product manger. I think their edibles are ok but the medicine is awful, toxic, and tastes like chemicals. Green way does have stress if your looking for it. Avoid Greenway, their medicine is trash. They charge taxes as well and they treat you like a terror suspect at an air port, not very friendly. I can't stress how toxic their medicine is. It can make your lungs quite ill, I know from experience.

Have shopped here almost 2.5 years. Coco capsules that I rely upon for pain/sleep are inconsistent in strength. Just overpaid $65 for #30 count and find that the THC did not make its way into the coconut oil. Not only was I overcharged, there is so little THC in these expensive capsules that they have no effect. Took 2 on an empty stomach and waited 3 hours = no effect. Repeated next night and waited 4 hours = no effect = $65 bucks for nothing. I have cancer and dislike Ambien and other sleep meds due to side effects etc.
So very disappointed and I feel so silly having put my health in alternative "medicine."

Dang, where can I even start. Well first off I knew before I even went to this shop that they were sketchy because a guy I used to play ball with is a vendor who donated 335 pre-rolled joints (made from his small budlettes and trim) to this club in order to provide severely sick and low-income patients with "free medicine". They thanked him and agreed. He walks in a week or so later to find them on sale for $10 a piece. He asked to speak with the manager about this and after a small argument was told that their "buisness decisions" were none of his business and was asked to leave.

I don't grow myself and went in their yesterday to purchase some high grade meds. Sign up was friendly but their security guard wasn't very knowledgable on the current medical marijuana laws and I can see how alot of people probably get turned away when they shouldn't be. I went inside and to my surprise all their good meds were $65-$75 an 8th. I got some Silver Erkle (Super Silver Haze x Purple Erkle) for $65 that was pretty chronic, but not what you would get in SF or OAK for the same price. I would say it is worth $45-$50. Do not visit this club. Mediocre customer service and overpriced good (not the best) medicine.

The security guards at Greenway are always friendly and efficient. Parking is always easy and there is little waiting. However, I am a bit disappointed in the bud tenders. I am on social security disability and cannabis therapy is new to me, and coupled with my natural shyness, it is really embarrassing to purchase product. I am ill and no longer pretty, and I have a hard time getting waited on by the bud tenders. The capsules that I rely on for sleep and pain relief come in 15 or 30 count. The small bottle is significantly more expensive and the bud tender would not combine two small bottles to save me some dollars, nor would he offer me a discount due to my social security disability. I'm not purchasing to "get high" so I am a tad saddened and humiliated by the experience. Maybe next time will be better.

I have been a Medical Marijuana Patient for eight years. I have been to dispensories up and down the State of California - and have had the most wonderful experiences - but this place "Greenway" should be put out of business. What a huge rip off.

I went there in late November with my newly updated prescription, from the same doctor I have always used, and my Medical Marijuana ID Card that was good until December 16, 2009 - which legally is still valid for 30 days past 12/16/09 - but the kid "security" guard tried to tell me that I wasn't legal with Greenway or the Cops and then proceeded to take both my license and my ID Card into the back to show, I presume, his Mother, who own's the place. He came back out and said "O.K., you're legal for today" and then proceeded to "Wand" me with a metal detector.

Are these people kidding? The I.D. card is voluntary. All I need to enter is my Prescription and my Drivers License. I told that youngster to give me back my license and ID card and that I would NEVER give money to these ignorant, uninformed and incompassionate "see your pot dollars at work with our fancy glass packaging and huge entrance wanding area" freaks.

This place sucks.

It is my belief that GCR's pricing is closely priced to the "black market" trends because they want to keep Medical Marijuana legal.

If somebody illegitimately uses their Medicinal Marijuana card to buy ounces of Medicine, and turn it around and sell it on the street, they will not see much profit with the current price structure.

If Medicinal Marijuana was cheaper than the black market prices, however, people would Make a larger ROI, resulting in bad publicity. I don't know about you, but the last thing I want to hear on the news is that Medicinal Marijuana is fueling the black market's illegal drug trade.

Once you get in you'll find a line of large glass cabinets with lots of hash, pre-weighed weed in nicely labeled jars, and plenty of edibles. My visit was quick, so there was probably more than I noticed. I asked to see their best stuff ($65/8th), and I wasn't very impressed with any of them, so I just went with an 8th of what was recommended ($60 - Blueberry Wreak). I also got some Sweet Jane's brownies for $10 each. They took a while to kick in, but they were eventually great. I would buy those again, but not the 8th that I got.

I've talked to another person that was happy with their hash quality/price/selection. They said the recommended stuff isn't always so good, but he liked the weed he got for $45 and his $20 gram of hash.

They didn't rip me off like the last reviewer, or give me that feeling. They're real friendly and official, but just make sure you have everything when you leave.
